Add the services customers can book

A service is something a customer chooses on your booking page. Keep service names simple, such as Haircut, Driving lesson, Dog grooming or Consultation.

• Use a clear name customers will recognise.
• Add a short description if customers need extra detail.
• Set the duration so OneDiary can show the right times.
• Add the price and currency customers should expect.

Use add-ons for optional extras

Add-ons are useful for extras a customer may choose alongside a service, such as a treatment upgrade, extra time or a small optional item. Keep them optional and easy to understand.

Choose a deposit rule

Deposits can be different for each service. You can use no deposit, a fixed deposit, a percentage deposit or full payment upfront, depending on how you want to handle bookings.

OneDiary should make the amount due today and any remaining balance clear to the customer before they confirm.

Keep your list tidy

Start with your main services first. You can add more later, but a shorter list is usually easier for customers to choose from.
