Connect payments with Stripe

Use Stripe to take deposits or full payment when customers book.

Why connect Stripe

Stripe lets you take deposits or full payment online when a customer books. This helps reduce no-shows and makes it clearer what has been paid before the appointment.

What you need

To connect payments, go to Payments in the portal and follow the Stripe setup steps. Stripe may ask for business, identity and bank details so customer payments can be handled correctly.

You do not enter or store card details in OneDiary. Customers pay through the payment flow when a deposit or full payment is required.

Subscription and booking access

The Payments page also shows the status of your OneDiary subscription. If a subscription payment needs attention, online booking may be paused until the payment method is updated.

If you skip payments

You can set up services without taking deposits straight away. If payments are not connected, use no-deposit booking rules until you are ready to take money online.
